Islington disruption

Bridge_carrying_Mount_View_Road_over_former_railway_route_-_geograph.org.uk_-_1274688

We’ve received notice that half of the Islington section (in the vicinity of Mount View Road Bridge) will be closed off and a considerable detour will be in place during the autumn. This is due to essential maintenance works being carried out by Islington Council to secure the integrity of the bridge. Islington Council have been very vague about when this will happen and have already missed their original planned closure date. We will update this page as soon as we have confirmation of the date.

Visitors travelling towards Finsbury Park will have to leave the path at Crouch Hill and rejoin at Blythwood Road and visa versa for those travelling from Finsbury Park.

The map below shows the diversions via Blythwood Road and Crouch Hill. Do check back with our website for confirmation about the reopening date. These projects have a habit of over-running! Any questions or problems please contact Islington Highways on 07825 098398
